We are all fans of a favorite team, but for this Super Bowl, we are all working together to feed people in our communities. The good United Methodists and Kansas City Chiefs fans of Missouri and Kansas have challenged us all, including Philadelphia Eagles fans, to work together to feed the people in our communities through a Super Bowl Food Drive.

Already churches and individuals are collecting food. (See the one-minute video below.) Together we will make a difference, as we help feed neighbors in our communities. As your superintendents we want you to do all you can as a congregation or individually. It’s easy. Take some food from your pantry to your church as a donation, where they will weigh and report it.

Pastor Monica will complete the form by 6:30 p.m. Sunday, as the Super Bowl starts. Your church will deliver donations to a local organization that gives away food.

We hope all pastors will encourage people to bring food to church this Sunday. We will report back to you how we all did to help thousands of people in our communities.

Check out the food collection video!
