Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm in Hamilton Township, Monroe County, has received a $5,000 Cultural and Historical Support Grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC). This announcement was made by Representative Jack Rader of Monroe.

"Preserving our past for future generations is so important. I am pleased Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm was approved for this funding," stated Rader.

The farm provides various programs throughout the year that focus on the agricultural cycle, livestock practices, cuisine, community celebrations, social customs, and technology of a typical Pennsylvania German family farm in the 19th century.

The Cultural and Historical Support Grant program aims to strengthen the Commonwealth's museum community by supporting general operations of eligible museums and official county historical societies not funded by other state agency programs. PHMC has approved $1.9 million in funding for 158 eligible museums and historical societies across 58 counties. Grants were distributed based on a formula tied to each organization's annual operating budget.
