State Representative Jack Rader has announced that over $1.9 million in state funding has been allocated for community improvement projects within the 176th Legislative District. The funding comes in the form of 14 Local Share Account (LSA) grants, which Rader was instrumental in securing.

“These grants are important because they are going toward infrastructure upgrades and public safety enhancements in our local communities, helping to enhance the quality of life for all,” stated Rader. “I am always happy to work with officials in the municipalities I represent to advocate on their behalf for this state funding.”

The funds will be distributed across several projects, including a $225,000 grant for parking lot repaving at American Legion Post 927 and $300,000 for stormwater management in Chestnuthill Township. Hamilton Township will receive $120,000 for a mower and accessories.

The Monroe County Industrial Development Authority is set to receive multiple grants: $355,845 for renovations at Camp Papillon Animal Shelter, $92,398 for bridge repairs over Buckwha Creek, and various other amounts for projects such as parking lot repaving and HVAC system replacement at Five Loaf House.

Additional funding includes $33,503 for rescue tools by Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company and $250,000 earmarked for improvements at Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center. Ross Township will benefit from a culvert replacement project with a grant of $164,975.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority approved these grants. The authority is an independent agency responsible for managing programs that contribute to Pennsylvania’s economic development through gaming revenues.
