Project

East Stroudsburg University issued the following announcement.

The East Stroudsburg University Panhellenic Council held its annual Project Turkey fundraiser from September 29-November 15. The event raises money to assist families who are experiencing from food insecurity during the holiday season. Colette Williams, vice president of philanthropy and community service for the sorority governing body, mobilized members of the Greek community to donate. Greek students ordinarily assist with the bagging of food but were unable to participate due to COVID-19 restrictions, but this did not deter the organization from raising $535 this year.

Approximately 35 volunteers were on hand to take part in Distribution Day on Thursday, November 19 to personally give out the food donations in a drive-through fashion at The Salvation Army’s office in East Stroudsburg.
