Chestnut Hill: Galleries Reopen at Woodmere Art Museum

Woodart

Chestnut Hill issued the following announcement.

Dear members, friends, and supporters:

I am delighted to announce Woodmere’s reopening on Saturday, July 25, 2020!

The Museum has been working to prepare the galleries, not only prioritizing the safety of visitors and staff, but also seeking to offer an especially vibrant, revitalizing experience after so much time being closed.

Here is what you can expect on your next visit:

Timed tickets are encouraged and will be available for purchase online here beginning 10 am on Saturday, July 11.

Attendance will be limited in accordance with guidelines from the City’s Department of Health, allowing for social distancing and space for experiences with art.

Masks will be required. Wayfinding tools will guide visitors through the Museum.

A safety shield is installed at the front desk. Increased cleaning measures will be implemented in all high-touch areas.

More information and frequently asked questions are provided here.

Details regarding membership extensions are provided on our website, here.

When we reopen on July 25, we will also celebrate a new exhibition, Gilbert Lewis: Many Faces, Many Figures. On the eve of the opening, I will be hosting a gallery talk through Zoom. Please join me at 8 pm on Friday, July 24, and register here for this free event.

On behalf of everyone at Woodmere, WELCOME BACK!

With all best regards,

William R. Valerio, PhD
