Rep. Jack Rader of Monroe County is organizing an identity theft seminar in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The event aims to educate residents about current scams and ways to protect their personal information.

The seminar will take place on Thursday, April 10, at 6 p.m. at the Blakeslee Community Center located at 5669 Route 115 in Blakeslee. Attendees can enter starting from 5:30 p.m.

“Protecting your identity is no longer optional – it is essential. This seminar will equip attendees with the tools and knowledge they need to safeguard their personal information and stay one step ahead of the scammers,” said Rader.

David Shallcross, director of the senior protection unit with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, will lead the seminar. He plans to cover recent scams and provide advice on avoiding victimization.

Interested individuals must reserve a spot for this free event either online or by contacting one of Rader’s district offices at 570-643-7683 for Blakeslee or 570-620-4341 for Effort.
