Of the 168,128 citizens living in Monroe County in 2021, 80.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 134,967 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 66,922 were male, constituting 49.6%, and 68,045 were female, making up 50.4%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Monroe County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.1%.
